I recently heard a speaker share how, during her quiet time each morning, she kept two armchairs in her office. She would sit in one and imagine Jesus sitting in the other. As she prayed, she didn’t just ask Him to bless her to-do list — she asked what He thought about her day, her priorities, her schedule, and how she was using her time and talents.
That image reminded me of our media studio for The UPside, where we also set two armchairs side by side. One is mine as the host. The other is for myguest — the person I invite to share their Jesus story.
And while Jesus may not be sitting there physically, He comes alive in those conversations through that person. Through each testimony, we see how He shows up — in seasons of joy and in seasons of trial. We hear about the dark times, the hard times, and His amazing grace, His wisdom, His provision, His strength, His healing. Whatever their story, it reveals the unmistakable ways God is always with us and faithfully working behind the scenes on our behalf.
That’s the power of the stories we tell on The UPside. Each one is a window into how Jesus meets us in real life. They lift our spirits, strengthen our faith, renew our purpose, and remind us that we are never alone.
And that, my friends, is why we call them “Conversations that Light Up the World.”
