Since President Trump ordered the full declassification of government UFO files, millions of people have been searching for answers. Social media is flooded with videos, theories, and fear. But very few voices in this conversation are equipped to address it from both a scientific and biblical perspective. Dr. Hugh Ross is one of the rare exceptions. A trained astronomer and founder of Reason toBelieve, Dr. Ross has devoted more than 60 years to studying the UFO and UAP phenomenon — and his conclusions are as startling as they are reassuring.

After decades of observation, including research conducted in the Soviet Union during the Communist era, he found a consistent pattern: the only people who encounter the genuine, unexplained two percent of UFO phenomena are those with involvement in occult practices. When that involvement is removed from a person's life, the encounters stop. "Close the portal," as Marion MacKenzie put it in the interview — and the phenomena end. This lines up precisely with what the Bible has said all along:that spiritual beings exist, that the fallen among them seek to deceive and harm, and that they can only gain access when invited.
For Christians navigating a culture suddenly obsessed with UFOs and aliens, Dr. Ross offers both a scientific anchor and a spiritual compass. The Bible, he notes, has never suggested we are alone — it has always described a universe populated by both human beings, bound by the laws of physics, and angelic beings who are not. What is new is not the phenomenon itself, but the cultural attention it is receiving.
