Homelessness in America is a heart wrenching national crisis. The suffering and subsequent mental illness experienced by men, women and children living on the streets defies description. Community libraries have become places of refuge, which is stretching their mission and the scope of librarians’ resources and capabilities.
In this award-winning series, Highlander Studios takes a deep dive into our shared humanity, the spectrum of players, and provides tools and equipping that provide deeper understanding and new levels of expertise to this deeply complex issue.
Episodes and short trailers are available to help librarians and other community service professionals learn how to compassionately and effectively serve the special needs of America's homeless men, women, and children. (All can be viewed at the link below.)
